The Environment Agency has launched a second public consultation regarding the Chilmington Green Water Recycling Centre (WRC) application submitted by Severn Trent Services (Water and Sewerage) Limited.
Following feedback from the first consultation and further technical assessment, the originally proposed discharge point was found to present a risk of surface water flooding. As a result, a new discharge location has now been proposed approximately 2 km downstream of the initial site.
The Environment Agency is inviting residents and stakeholders to review the updated proposal and submit their comments before the closing date.
