Cllr. Terry Jones
Councillor Of Park Farm North
Term of Office: May 2023 - Present
Social Profiles
I was born in Kent and brought up in Paddock Wood. After graduating from the Universities of Sussex and Birmingham I had a varied 25-year overseas career in a number of countries, initially as a teacher, and later in various senior government positions.
I returned to the UK in 2003 and moved to Park Farm in 2005, when I joined Ashford Borough Council as nature conservation officer, until I retired last year. During my time working for the Council, Ashford has grown and developed rapidly, especially within the urban area. This has inevitably had both positive and negative consequences for residents of Kingsnorth Parish.
My aim as a Parish Councillor, is to consult with and listen to the concerns of residents, and to work with my colleagues on the Parish Council to bring about improvements that enhance the quality of life of residents, while also protecting our local environment.
I can often be seen walking or riding my bike around the Parish, either alone, or with my wife, Sylvana, and sometimes with my granddaughters at the play area.
If there is anything you wish to discuss or bring to my attention, please feel free to approach me, or contact me on my email address.
